need better info/signage about check-in and parking
We loved the views, the peaceful location, the feeling of being in the middle of it but not being in the middle of it, and the sensation of being gently rocked to sleep each night.
Everything was absolutelly superb. Amazing view during the day and night, small ships passing by gave such wonderfull experience. This hotel made stay in Copenhagen relaxing, romantic, fantastic and enjoyable. It is well situated very close to the center, clean, cousy and well designed.
It was little bit frustrated that check out hour is at 10 am.
Beautiful vue from the room, trendy interior, close to the city's venues.
The hotel (boat) is next to a party boat with loud dance music until 5.00 am (saturday night). The previous friday night was also with dance music (less loud, but still at annoying level). We didn't sleep at all for two nights (out of two). The nearby bridge (metal part) is also producing a lot of noise, in particular when lorries en buses are passing. The back of the toiletseat in the bathroom was still dirty (yellow stains!). And unfortunately, at breakfast you eat from a paper plate and plastic knife and fork. It is all a bit of contrast with the luxurious interior of the room and the total concept. A real disappointment.
What you see on their website is what you get - minimalist heaven. Very comfortable beds, good both for people who prefer their own duvet and mattress, and those who want to double. Pristine white linen and towels. Room and bathroom, beautiful, practical and designed with care, though not spacious. Views of the water from bed and shower. Simple but good breakfast fare and facilities. Wonderful top deck for drinking your own stuff, chilled in a common frig, and for surveying the historic buildings and glittering Black Diamond Royal Library — on the other side of the canal. Easy walks to bus stops, Metro station (direct to/from airport, 15 mins), shopping and sites. Adjacent to an excellent restaurant, also on a boat. The hotel is very good value for money, and indeed the place we most enjoyed in Copenhagen.
The hotel was really nice and well located. The staff was also nice and helpful. The room was clean and modern, with the great view. And the hotel has a incredible terrace to enjoy sunsets, breakfasts or whatever.
Is not that we didn't like. I want to mention this because some people may find it useful. The room was too hot if all windows were closed during the day (it was summer). And the curtains weren't thick enough making the room very bright since early in the morning.
Breakfasts at sun deck. Good location. Nice view.
Small room. No air conditioner - was very hot though outside temperature was + 20. Hotel not suitable for families with children. Modest breakfast.
We loved the hotel and our stay there. It is a small, clean, efficient, practical and homey hotel with an excellent location outside of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area; and yet convenient enough to walk to the hustle and bustle of the city. The water and city views from our Danish designed room were fantastic. The hotel's location was next to a large pleasant park overlooking the water. The very gentle sway of the hotel on the water created a calming and relaxing environment. The staff were genuinely friendly and treated us like family rather than typical hotel guests. Barge restaurant right next door, local neighborhood restaurants within walking distance of cph Living, public transportation just minutes walk from the hotel and you could easily and safely walk to many sights in Copenhagen. We will definitely refer the hotel to others and plan to stay again to this wonderful out of the ordinary hotel. We highly recommend it to everyone!
Good location and quiet, but it's not a hotel: it is really a B&B with no real facilities, beyond the rooms themselves and a sort-of breakfast arrangement. But very friendly and helpful staff, wonderful central but quied location -- and is it a boat and a small one at that, so one can't expect dining rooms and reception desks and all that goes with a hotel.
Unusual and fun hotel design, good location on the water, friendly and helpful staff
Rooms very bright - could do with darker blinds
Very cool concept small hotel. If you are into that streamlined somewhat "retro" Danish design look with a feel of living in a glass house right on the water you will truly appreciate this place. Amazing views of the harbor and the library building. 15 minutes walk to the main train station or the main shopping street. 10 minutes walk to the Christianshavn subway stop and local stores. Convenience store is less that 5 mins away. Very clean. Helpful staff. For this truly expensive city this hotel offers good balance btw. price and value.
Let me address some comments from other reviewers: credit card payment - there is a few percent surcharge, however, as you will find out this is common in cph; heat/cold/mosquitoes - stayed here in spring so no issues, however, I can see this being an issue other times of the year; rocking motion - no issues while we stayed, however, in a storm, wind, etc. this may be an issue; privacy - there a full shades so you can completely control the exposure to the outside; glass bathroom door – this will be an issue for shy people sharing a room.
all good for me so happy to be there and I will be back again
Great location and view. Quiet area. Well designed room and very clean. Staff was very kind and helpful. Free Wi-Fi
This is a unique floating hotel moored off the very pleasant neighbourood island of Christianshavn. The view onto the historic city is spectacular, even more so when you are greeted, as we were, by fireworks and a parade of warships celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Danish Royal Navy.
The only criticism we could express concerns the the heavy car traffic on the neighbouring Langebro bridge. This noise disturbance was further aggravated during our stay by engineering works on this very bridge. Earplugs are therefore strongly recommended!
the special location and that the hotel has only 12 rooms
It is very noisy during the nights
